Restaurants that will cook your bird

1. When Pigs Fly, 7011 W. Central, 316-440-3823: The restaurant is selling 12- to 14-pound Butterball turkeys that are smoked and injected with a butter/herb mixture for $35.99. A full meal plus sides is $59.99. Customers must make reservations by Friday for pickup on Wednesday.

2. Jet Bar-B-Q, 1100 E. Third St., 316-262-7299: The Jet Man once again will be selling his smoked turkeys for $29.95 and hams for $49.95. They can be picked up cold on Tuesday or Wednesday or hot from the pit from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday. Make reservations by Tuesday.

3. Bierocks, Brats and BBQ, 128 S. Seneca, 316-393-9580: She closed her restaurant in Delano in September, but Mary Isbell-Hansen still is selling turkeys and hams. She’s offering 15-pound smoked turkeys for $45 and fried for $55. They come in Cajun butter, mesquite or garlic and herb flavors. Spiral-cut hams are available in honey brown sugar, orange cranberry or raspberry chipotle flavors and are $45 for a 9-pounder or $85 for a 22-pounder. She also has a meal for four for $39.99. Reservation deadline is Saturday, and pickup will be Monday through Wednesday.

4. Two Brothers BBQ: The local restaurant chain will sell 12-pound smoked turkeys for $35.99, half honey-glazed spiral sliced hams for $49.99 and whole ones for $94.99. Pickup is available on Wednesday, and reheating instructions will be included. Traditional sides also are available. Make reservations by Monday by calling one of these five stores: 3750 N.
