Wichita police are investigating a burglary early Wednesday morning in which the door of a Verizon Wireless Store was smashed and several phones and tablets were taken.

At 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, Wichita police responded to an alarm at the store in the 600 block of South Greenwich, according to Lt. Doug Nolte, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

“It was what we would consider a smash and grab,” Nolte said. “Several items were taken from the display cases.”

Police are now asking for help in solving the case.

Nolte said no store security video or photos were obtained.
