A natural gas leak prompted street closings in northwest Wichita on Monday morning, authorities said.

Several residents called 911 shortly before 6:30 a.m. to report the odor, a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. Streets were closed in the area of 29th and Tyler.

The leaking gas line was shut down and streets have reopened, the supervisor said.
