— A Kansas man has been sentenced for a third time for putting two young children in a hot clothes dryer to punish them, and his attorney says he plans to appeal the sentence again.

Aron Pritchard of Hutchinson was convicted in March 2008 of child abuse and endangering a child for putting his girlfriend's 3-year-old son and 2-year-old daughter in a dryer and turning it on.

Pritchard initially was sentenced to 124 months in prison. The case was sent to the Court of Appeals because of the lengthy sentence, but a new judge sentenced Pritchard to the same 124 months last year.

Defense attorney Lee Timon appealed again, leading to Friday's sentence of 110 months. Timon says the maximum sentence should have been 62 months.
