Wamego City Hospital has been ranked No. 1 on Modern Healthcare’s list of 2012 Best Places to Work in Health Care, Via Christi Health announced in a news release.
The hospital is a 25-bed critical access hospital in Pottawatomie County, east of Manhattan.
Modern Healthcare is an industry magazine that covers health care and business issues.
There were 340 applications for this year’s program from health care companies across the country. Modern Healthcare collected information from employers and employees to help determine the ranking.
Via Christi has a minority interest in the hospital.
