Wichita detectives spent Thursday searching through security videos in the hopes of identifying a man who robbed the Save-A-Lot at 2404 S. George Washington Blvd. Wednesday night.

The robbery happened at 7:45 p.m. when a man entered the store and showed a small semi-automatic handgun to one of the clerks, demanding cash. When given the money, the man left the store on foot. No one was injured in the robbery.

Police have not identified the man in his 30s. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black jeans, white tennis shoes and a black do rag.

During a briefing Thursday, Lt. Doug Nolte said he was hopeful police would be able to release photos or video further identifying the man later Thursday.
