Captain the Goofball, a 4-year-old male pointer-German shorthaired pointer mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

You’re going to fall head over paws for me. I am a happy dog star who enjoys all kinds of activities. I want to entertain and be entertained, so we can play together and have a great time. I have a wonderful outlook and a fun personality. You should visit me at KHS. You’ll wonder how you ever laughed without me.

Also available:

•  Star the Goofball, 5-year-old female Labrador retriever mix

I want to be in all your pictures – you know, the ones showing the family pet at the picnic, beach, dog park, riding in the car, playing fetch. I pretty much like any activity, so there will be a ton of photo opportunities. Let's start our fun adventure today.

•  Gomer the Personal Assistant, 8-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

A great cat once said, “I hate Mondays.” Well, I promise when I’m with you, no day will ever seem like a Monday. We’ll have a blast every day together. I’ll follow you around from your room to the kitchen and everywhere else.

• Sydney the Secret Admirer, 1 1/2-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

I might be a little shy at first, but that’s because I haven’t gotten to know you yet. When we hang out, I know we’ll be best friends. I’ll be constantly around and we’ll have so much fun together. You should come visit me at KHS so we can start our hanging out right away.

•  Sprinkles, 2-year-old female gerbil

Hi, I’m Sprinkles. I like running around and playing in my cage. I’m fairly easy to care for, which makes me a great pet for first-time pet owners. I’ll give you a bunch of smiles and laughs.
