I think that people who have “no fluoride” signs in their yard should be handing out only toothbrushes, fluoride toothpaste, floss or mouthwash for Halloween. No candy.

I am giving out fluoride tablets for Halloween and I want the city to make the children take them, whether they want to or not. Sound familiar?

Earthquakes and volcanoes on the West Coast. Hurricanes along the Gulf and Eastern Seaboard. Aren’t you glad you live in the upper Midwest? I am. I have never seen a tornado I couldn’t run away from or hide from in a safe room.

I’ve been missing the Jersey shore since I moved here more than 30 years ago, but seeing Sandy the past few days makes me kind of glad I’m landlocked.

All the people who ignored the warnings to get out of the way of the hurricane but refused and then wanted help to be evacuated – they should be on their own, and should not put the rescue people in danger because of their stupidity.

I’m sure millions of people on the East Coast are glad that those who wanted to eliminate FEMA from the federal budget weren’t successful. Local and state governments couldn’t handle the massive costs of cleanup and restoration as a result of Sandy.

Democrats and the liberal media have convinced many that tax cuts cost money. Check your history. Every time taxes were cut, revenue was increased.

Davis Merritt needs to get his facts correct (Oct. 30 Opinion). It was Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid who refused to let anything get voted on that was passed in the House of Representatives.

The creed of the American electorate is: “Yeah, but what have you done for me lately?”

Bush was terrible. Obama is pathetic. Let’s not make the same mistake with Obama that we did with Bush. No second term.

Do people know why they are against “Obamacare,” other than they have been told they should be against it? Most people I know have already benefited from it.

“PACs are the law of the land, agree or disagree. Like them or not, they are legal,” Wink Hartman said about his funding of ads in a judicial race. Abortion and “Obamacare” are the law of the land and legal as well – agree or disagree, like them or not.
