Several area florists will give free roses in exchange for donations to the Kansas Food Bank during November.
Rio Roses for Food is an annual food drive featuring Rio Roses distributed by Valley Floral Co. Six free roses are given in exchange for five food-pantry items or a $5 donation.
Here are the participating shops and dates: Dean’s Designs at 3555 E. Douglas, Thursday through Saturday; Susan’s at 4737 E. Douglas, Saturday and Sunday; Walter’s Flowers & Interiors in El Dorado, Friday and Saturday; and Via Christi gift shops, Thursday through Nov. 30.
