The Machinists union will distribute the first weekly strike checks on Wednesday, instead of Tuesday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the District Hall, 3830 S. Meridian.
The Machinists have been on strike at Bombardier Learjet since Oct. 8.
Each member will receive $350 – $150 from the International Strike Fund and $200 from the Light Aircraft Steering Committee Fund.
Also, the Machinists will distribute food at the same time checks are picked up to help out those who are on strike. Union officials said they plan to distribute checks weekly to members who agree to help out with strike activities or other union-approved activities.
