The Ambassador Hotel in downtown Wichita plans to open New Year’s Eve with an event to benefit Orpheum Theatre, according to a news release from the hotel’s owners.

“Opening on New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to introduce Wichita to the level of luxury and service that the Ambassador Hotel offers,” said general manager Michael Frimel in the release. “Making the event a benefit for the Orpheum Theatre is the perfect way to give back to the community and support our neighbor in Wichita’s downtown entertainment district.”

The hotel’s l 117 rooms and suites will be complete and available for partygoers to purchase along with tickets to the event. Tickets are also available for guests to attend the event from 7 p.m. until 2 a.m.

Room packages are available starting at $500, with single tickets for the entire evening event available for $175, according to the news release.

The event will feature food provided by Siena Tuscan Steakhouse as well as performances by Wichita’s 3 Ring Circus and Kansas City’s Quixotic, an ensemble of artists from various disciplines including aerial acrobatics, dance, fashion, film and music.
