The Sedgwick County Zoo will begin its winter hours on Thursday, the first day of November, the zoo said in a news release Monday.

Hours beginning Thursday will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The zoo, at 5555 Zoo Blvd., in west Wichita, is open 364 days of the year. It closes for one day in September to prepare for Zoobilee, its annual fundraiser. Winter hours will run through the end of February.

Winter hours also mean the zoo will begin Winter Wednesdays, starting Nov. 7. Admission on Winter Wednesdays, which run through February, is $2.50. Normal adult admission is $13.95.
