Ballinger has vast experience
We are Wichita attorneys who have represented clients before Sedgwick County District Judge Richard Ballinger for many years. We are also what most would consider “pro-life Republican conservatives.”
Ballinger has more than 35 years of experience trying cases in Kansas courts. He is the current judge assigned to the Sedgwick County probate department, which governs adoptions, decedents’ estates, guardianships, conservatorships, and the care and treatment of mentally ill individuals. His knowledge of these areas of the law is unparalleled, as he has been the only judge dedicated to probate since 2006.
Not only does Ballinger handle his full caseload in the probate division, he also volunteers to hear cases in the criminal, civil and family law divisions, to ease the caseload throughout the District Court. His vast experience as a trial attorney and former assistant district attorney has given him a wealth of legal expertise across multiple legal disciplines, so he is as well-versed in criminal and civil law as he is in family and probate law.
Sedgwick County cannot afford to lose Ballinger’s in-depth knowledge on the court. Vote Ballinger on Nov. 6.

The Obama administration gave millions of dollars of taxpayer money to the solar-energy company Solyndra, and it went bankrupt. That is millions of dollars of taxpayer money wasted. This should make everyone as mad as it makes me.
It’s time to take a stand against wasteful government spending, and it starts by electing officials who have and will fight to get the government out of the business of making decisions where it does not belong. I believe U.S. Rep. Mike Pompeo, R-Wichita, is the man for this job. He has made no apologies for his stance on getting rid of all energy tax credits, and that is exactly the kind of plain common sense that we need in Washington, D.C.
I want to encourage everyone to send a message to Washington this November. Vote for Mike Pompeo, and get the government out of our hair.

Libertarian talk-show hosts on the radio absolutely did not want Mitt Romney. But they celebrated when he picked Ryan.

Liz Hicks has been my friend for 30 years. In that time I’ve known her as a commonsense consensus builder. She listens to those on all sides of issues and works with other people to develop solutions for the common good.
Hicks is now running for Kansas House District 105. I support her candidacy, and as a retired teacher, I especially support her stand on education. She believes, as did those who brought statehood to Kansas, that public education is essential to the welfare of the state’s citizens. In order to ensure a quality public education, the Legislature needs to restore funding to our schools and colleges. Kansans need a good education in order to enter the diversified workforce that now exists in our state.
I hope those in her district will give her their support in the upcoming election. Liz Hicks will serve all her constituents fairly, with the work ethic she has shown throughout her life.
