A Facebook page called “Sedgwick County Taxpayers” has removed an official county logo from its site, replacing it with a “Fire Tim Norton” sign.

The page, which bills itself as a “government organization,” features posts urging people to vote against District 2 Commissioner Tim Norton. The administrator of the page is unknown. The Eagle has tried to make contact with the page by commenting on it, but no one has responded.

County officials expressed concern Tuesday about the page representing itself through the use of the logo as affiliated with the county. Legal staff met to talk about what steps the county could take.

The Eagle reported about the page on Tuesday. The page had 326 “likes” as of 2 p.m. Wednesday.
