Does anyone find it ludicrous that our mayor takes a business trip to China? Talk about a giant waste of public funds.

I would suggest bicyclists remember they are obligated to obey traffic lights and stop signs. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen bicyclists blow through stop signs without even slowing down.

How many zombies would it take to eat Superman, Green Lantern and Lance Armstrong? None. Zombies don’t eat fake heroes.

Only America’s enemies are better off than they were four years ago.

Mitt Romney’s record as a successful businessman was through Bain Capital, where American businesses were bought and shut down, where American jobs were lost and outsourced overseas, where the first consideration was a profit. Is this really the kind of “successful businessman” we want to run our country?

One of the most important reasons I want President Obama to win a second term is because I don’t want the Koch brothers to think they can buy an election and “save America” by defining our country according to their view.

Funny how Democrats seem to forget George Soros and his gazillions of dollars that help to fund numerous left-wing organizations as well as progressive political candidates. I am grateful to the Koch brothers for helping to counter that far-left agenda.

I can’t wait until Nov. 6, when columnist Leonard Pitts gets a huge dose of reality. I predict that soon thereafter, we will learn of the cheating done on the unemployment numbers. If the sudden huge drop to 7.8 percent before an election looks too good to be true, it is.

Obama may have had it wrong about the situation in Libya, but let’s not forget that President Bush led us into a pre-emptive war based on a fantasy.

Much ado is made in The Wichita Eagle about the low approval rating of Congress. Guess who has an even lower trustworthiness rating? The mainstream media do, but we never see that report.

I am imagining how much better off the country would be without the National Organization for Women creating problems to push its skewed agenda. The right to choose to be a mother should include taking personal responsibility for that choice, not expecting the government (taxpayers) to fix poor choices.

I’m a Democrat, but I voted for Bill Graves for governor twice. I know it’s expected he should raise money for Romney. But it is disappointing when Graves is everything Romney is not – a champion of public education, a pragmatist and no butt kisser of the far right.
