Wichita police are investigating the robbery of a McDonald’s restaurant in the 1800 block of North Hillside.
The robbery happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday.
An employee told Wichita police that a man came into the restaurant. He handed the employee a note that said to take all the money out of the safe and put it in a bag in a trash can in the bathroom.
Although no weapon was seen, the woman complied, according to Sgt. Bart Brunscheen, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.
An unknown amount of cash was taken. No injures were reported.
“Detectives have gotten the case and seeing what they can gather,” Brunscheen said.
