Guadalupe Clinic, 940 S. St. Francis, will provide free flu vaccinations on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or until the supply of vaccine runs out.
The United Way of the Plains provided $6,500 to help purchase approximately 500 doses of flu vaccine for the Operation Immunization event. The injections are for those ages 6 and older.
The event is held in collaboration with the Wichita Academy of Pharmacists, the JayDoc Community Clinic at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita and the Wichita State University School of Nursing. Members of KU’s Academy of Student Pharmacists will administer the vaccinations under the supervision of certified pharmacists.
