Robbers stole checks that had been made out and were worth thousands of dollars during a forced break-in at a Wichita home occupied by about 12 people early Tuesday morning, police said.
No one was injured during the robbery, which occurred about 2:15 a.m. at a house in the 1500 block of South Laura, northeast of Harry and Southeast Boulevard, police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
The robbers kicked in a back door and pointed a handgun at at least four of the victims, Nolte said. The occupants ranged in age from 5 to 45.
