A man was taken into custody early Sunday after firing a gun at a vehicle and leading police on a chase through the College Hill area.

The incident began at about 2 a.m. when a 911 caller reported that while traveling north on I-135, a person driving another car fired a gunshot at him.

According to news partner KFDI radio, Wichita police – with help from the police helicopter – located the reported vehicle near First and Hydraulic; and a short chase began through the College Hill area. The man was eventually taken into custody.
