AT&T said Friday it spent $75 million on network improvements in Kansas in the first half of 2012.

The telecommunications giant said that the figure included spending on new cell sites and towers and additional spectrum.

The upgrades enabled the launch of fourth-generation long term evolution, or 4G LTE, service in Wichita, and the launch of its U-Verse television service in Ottawa.
