Wichita police are investigating gunshots that rang out early Friday morning in the 1100 block of North Poplar.

Lt. Doug Nolte said police responded about 2:15 a.m. Friday to complaints about gunfire in the area and found several semi-automatic shell casings in the street. A party attended by members of a gang had taken place, and members of a rival gang confronted some of the partygoers, firing several shots toward a home on Poplar, which is between Grove and Hillside, Nolte said.

Nobody was hurt, and there was no damage to any property, Nolte said.

Police ask anyone with information about the gunshots to call 911.
