A Derby-based managed information technology services firm has made its second acquisition in a month.

OneSource Technology said Monday it acquired PC Services, a firm based in Wichita providing managed IT services to small businesses.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Paul Bush, OneSource’s principal consultant and founder, said that the deal has added 75 new clients to OneSource’s business. Those new clients operate in a variety of sectors that include health care, food service, real estate and manufacturing.

PC Services was founded in 1995 by Scott Ward. Ward, Bush said, was the company’s sole employee. Ward sold the business because he had been offered a job by one of PC Services’ clients, Bush said.

Bush plans to hire two employees to handle the new business brought on from the PC Services acquisition. OneSource, founded in 1998, currently has five employees.

The additional hires will help cover not only new business that comes with the purchase of PC Services, but also increases the firm’s ability to respond to the needs of the existing client base.

“We have a deeper bench to fall back on,” he said.

The acquisition comes a month after OneSource acquired another Derby IT managed services provider, Hofftek.

Bush said he doesn’t plan to make any additional acquisitions this year. But he won’t rule them out.

If the right deal comes along, “you have to take these opportunities when they present themselves,” he said.

“The deal that I made (with my wife) was I would not actively be pursuing anybody until after the first of the year,” Bush said.
