After a chilly weekend, a warming trend will start Monday and continue through the week.
The Canadian ridge that brought the cool air to the area will shift to the southeast, leaving the Wichita area to reach a high of 68 degrees Monday under a sunny sky, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita. By Thursday, the area is expected to reach a high of 78.
Winds out of the south and southwest are forecast to reach 22-25 mph by late Monday morning.
Overnight lows will be in the mid-40s Monday and Tuesday, then in the 50s Wednesday and Thursday. Friday’s overnight low isn’t expected to be below 60.
Clouds will drift into the area later in the week, but there isn’t any rain in the forecast.
