Police questioned a 34-year-old man Thursday after a student at Gordon Parks Academy reported he offered to give her a ride to school and then chased her and yelled at her when she refused.
The girl told a staff member at the school later in the morning, Lt. Doug Nolte said, and police were notified. Based on the description she gave, officers found the man in his vehicle some time Thursday afternoon.
He was taken to the Exploited and Missing Child Unit for questioning, Nolte said, and eventually booked into jail for an outstanding parking warrant.
A letter informing parents of the incident was sent home with students, USD 259 spokeswoman Susan Arensman said.
