I have a new title for President Obama: social engineer in chief. Obama’s ideals for a collective society using the tax code to social-engineer his socialist agenda were on full display during the debate.

I hope the voters were listening when the president bashed corporate jets (again). They represent real, good-paying jobs, and a leading export. The president is clueless as to where jobs come from.

Well, at least Mitt Romney is consistent – flip, flop, flip, flop. Everything he said during the debate was a total contradiction of what he’s been telling the American people for many months.

Republicans are dancing in the streets. Romney finally had a good day.

The only thing the first presidential debate proved was that it is harder to tell what you know are bold-faced lies than to make what you suspect (but are not yet willing to admit) are false promises.

The first debate showed us a seasoned executive leader with an advanced business degree versus an amateur.

The debate distinguished President Obama and Jim Lehrer as considerate, thoughtful individuals and confirmed that Mitt Romney is still the hair-cutting bully he was in high school, who believes he’s entitled to have everything his way, rules be damned.

As governor of Massachusetts, Romney was able to get things done because Democrats, 87 percent of the state’s legislators, were willing to compromise on what was best. They didn’t engage in obstructionism so he would be just a one-term governor.

I guess that Obama prepping for the debate with Joy Behar was a mistake.

If Obama is re-elected, it will be because of women voters. They then can explain to their children and grandchildren why they voted for someone who has recklessly mortgaged their future.

It appears to me that people against voter-ID laws may have more to hide than people who don’t want to make their income taxes public.

Steve Yager for president.

Please publish the name of the store that laid off Kimbra Moore’s mother. I want to make sure I never go into it.

Thank you, McConnell Air Force Base, for such a wonderful, professional and exhilarating air show. It made me so proud to be an American. God bless our military here and abroad.
