Tibetan Master to share monk’s teachings in Wichita

A Tibetan Master will share the teachings of Buddhist monk Khenpo Gangshar during a public discussion and workshop in Wichita later this month.

Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche, a student of the monk, will discuss Buddhist practices of love, compassion and wisdom on Oct. 16.

His 90-minute talk starts at 7 p.m. at First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7202 E. 21st St. Donations will be accepted. All faiths are invited.

Rinpoche will continue the teachings during a two-day workshop, set for Oct. 16-17. “Naturally Liberating Whatever You Meet: Instructions to Guide You on the Path” runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at 22 N. Beech Road in Wichita.

The cost is $60 per day or $100 for both. Advanced registration is recommended at www.wichitaktc.org/special-events
