Police responding to a neighborhood drug complaint Wednesday night arrested nine people in central Wichita.

Five were arrested on suspicion of drug and weapons violations at an apartment at 631 N. Topeka, while four others were arrested on outstanding warrants, police records show. Officers in the Special Community Action Team and SWAT team entered an apartment at about 8:15 p.m. and found 15 people inside, Lt. Doug Nolte said.

Officers found weapons and drugs and arrested three men and two women. The women were 21 and 30 years of age, while the men were 45, 18 and 22.

Nolte would not provide specifics on the types of guns or drugs found.
