KU’s Withey, K-State’s McGruder named to preseason All-Big 12 basketball team

Kansas senior Jeff Withey and Kansas State senior Rodney McGruder were two of three unanimous picks Wednesday to the All-Big 12 preseason team, voted on by league coaches.

Oklahoma State’s Le’Bryan Nash was the other unanimous pick and was joined on the team by Baylor’s Pierre Jackson and Texas’ Myck Kabongo. Jackson was voted preseason player of the year.

Newcomer honors went to Amath M’Baye of Oklahoma and top freshman honor went to Oklahoma State’s Marcus Smart.
