An Olathe man was sentenced today to seven years in federal prison after pleading guilty to receiving and distributing child pornography.
Marc Dolgenow, 46, admitted he chatted on the Internet in November 2009 with somebody in Wisconsin who Dolgenow believed was a single mother of two young girls. In reality, he was chatting with an undercover police officer.
Dolgenow sent the officer photographs of children engaged in sexual acts, according to U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom’s office, and solicited photos of the daughters of the person posing as a single parent.
On Jan. 7, 2011, federal agents searched Dolgenow’s home and found images on his computer of children as young as two years old. The U.S. Attorney’s office also said Dolgenow had chatted in a sexual manner with children under 18 years old.
