The European jobless rate is still at 11.4 percent. Since Obama is pushing us toward a failed European-style government, if he is re-elected maybe he can get us to 11.4 percent unemployment by the end of his next term.

Readers who complain about the president’s use of a teleprompter are demonstrating their ignorance. Virtually all speakers use a teleprompter when they want to be certain their message comes across correctly.

Obama has diminished the dignity of the Oval Office to desperate depths by appearing on talk shows and hobnobbing with Hollywood celebrities. Judge a man’s character by what he does, not what he says.

The poor Romney campaign is flailing, failing and sinking in its own quagmire of spin, spin, spin. Jon Huntsman called Romney a “well-oiled weather vane.” No truer words were ever spoken.

So what was supposed to be the “most transparent administration ever” lied to us for two weeks about the Chris Stevens attack being terrorism. I’m curious if the Democrat voters are ever going to decide they’ve had enough.

We do not patronize any eating establishment that displays Fox News on its television. We demand the truth from the so-called liberal media.

The price of gasoline just took a 10-cent jump. I’m betting it will drop drastically just before election. Guess who gets credit for that.

As it’s been stated, Osama bin Laden is dead and GM isn’t. Plus, my 401(k) and IRAs are at a five-year high. If only my health care plan were as good as Rep. Mike Pompeo’s, I would truly be better off today than four years ago. The president has my vote.

In the coming debates, I’m looking for Romney to bet 10,000 bucks he can relate to the common man.

Why should “would-be lawmakers” be respectful of laws (Sept. 30 WE Blog) when there is obviously a cultural indifference toward obeying laws? Just check your speedometer the next time you drive.

There is a lucrative business opportunity for the fast-food restaurants and the pharmaceutical companies to capitalize on the school food revolt. Open new restaurants and pharmacies next door to schools serving the meager federally approved menu. Sales of calorie-laden foods and the required insulin to treat diabetes should skyrocket.

A miscarriage is a tragic event in which the life of a child is lost. The fact that miscarriages happen doesn’t make God an abortionist any more than it makes Him a murderer when someone outside of the womb dies. It is ridiculous to try to legitimize abortion in this way (Sept. 29 Letters to the Editor).
