The Reno County sheriff’s department is investigating an injury accident that sent an 89-year-old Buhler man to the hospital.

Eldo Regehr was driving his 2004 Mercury car southbound on the Buhler Road when he rear-ended a field cultivator that was being pulled by a 1973 John Deere Tractor driven by Gilbert Regier, 64, of Inman.

The accident happened at 4 p.m. Monday. Buhler and Reno County EMS crews were sent to the scene in the 10000 block of North Buhler Road.

Both Eldo Regehr and his wife, Mary Ann, a passenger in the car, were wearing seatbelts and were transported to the Hutchinson Regional Hospital. They were believed to have minor injuries, according to Capt. Wayne Baughman Jr., spokesman for the Reno County Sheriff’s Office.
