The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded a $273,810 federal grant to expand the work of a task force that deals with Internet crimes against children, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom announced Monday.
“Protecting children from sexual predators who prowl the Internet is a top priority,” Grissom said.
The Justice Department grant will pay for the task force to assist more law enforcement agencies and for additional training and resources.
