Fire damages house in south Wichita

An abandoned house caught fire early Friday morning in south Wichita, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 5:48 a.m. at 1408 E. Catalina, which is near Hydraulic and 31st Street South, a Sedgwick County dispatcher said. Crews were able to put out the blaze in a little more than 20 minutes.

No injuries were reported. A cause and damage estimate have not been released.
