Halloween is still weeks away, but one man was apparently getting into the spirit Thursday morning.

He was spotted walking on the sidewalk next to Hillside in south Wichita wearing some leaves, something officials called a “tree crown” — and nothing else.

“Do you have the individual?” a Sedgwick County dispatcher asked the officer sent to investigate.

“Oh, yeah,” the officer replied.

The man was found walking southbound north of Harry shortly before 8:15 a.m., a dispatch supervisor said. The man was 6 feet tall, in his 30s, and very dirty, she said.

He was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail — where he gets to wear orange.
