Wichita police said Monday that they have identified a suspect in a reported rape of a 17-year-old who met the suspect online.
Police are investigating a report that the suspect picked up the 17-year-old and took her to an unknown hotel and raped her. A police report said the 17-year-old feared being hit by the suspect.
The incident was reported Saturday night.
The 20-year-old suspect is from the Wichita area, and detectives are working on finding him, police Lt. Doug Nolte said.
