Four people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol during a sobriety checkpoint conducted over the weekend on South Broadway, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.
The checkpoint was in the southbound lane of the 5300 block of South Broadway between 11 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Sunday. Two other people were also arrested during the checkpoint – one on traffic charges and the other on drug charges, the sheriff’s office said. Wichita police and sheriff officers took part in the checkpoint that handled 204 vehicles.
