Tennessee guard Cameron Payne orally committed to Murray State on Monday. Payne visited Wichita State in August and included the Shockers on his final list of five schools.

Payne (6-foot-1, 166 pounds) averaged 22 points and four assists as a junior at Lausanne Collegiate School in Memphis. He was one of three finalists for Mr. Tennessee Basketball in Division 2-A. He was also named to the Tennessee Sports Writers All-State 2-A Team and Memphis Commercial-Appeal All-City team.

Lausanne went 23-8 last season and won its region title.

He chose Murray State from a list that included WSU, High Point, College of Charleston and Ohio.
