There’s a slight chance of showers in the Wichita area this afternoon, forecasters say.
Highs should reach the upper 70s under mostly cloudy skies, with south-southwest winds in the teens shifting to the north and strengthening into the 20s. Gusts may gust beyond 35 miles an hour.
Overnight lows under clearing skies will slide into the mid-40s, forecasters say. Winds will stay strong from the north-northeast, with steady breezes in the teens and gusts of more than 25 miles an hour.
Tuesday should be sunny and pleasant, forecasters say, with highs in the 70s.
