Liston the Free Spirit, a 2-year-old male boxer mix, is available for adoption from Kansas Humane Society.

Intelligent, independent, confident and clever – that’s how people have described me. I would love to go for a stroll or play fetch with you. Just come down to KHS and tell them Liston sent you.

Also available:

• Bob the Goofball, 6-year-old male Pekingese mix

Why do they call it simple dog tricks? It takes talent to roll your tongue like this. It would delight me to entertain you every day with my own brand of humor. I have a quirky zest for life and I am looking for a forever friend to enjoy it with.

•  Dinah the Personal Assistant, 4-year-old female cat, domestic shorthair mix

You’re working on the computer? Let me press the keys. Reading the paper? I’ll hold the pages down for you. Watching TV? I’ll just plop in your lap so you can pet me. I’ll help you with all your chores and help you relax when we’re done. You’ll wonder how you ever managed without me.

•  Loverboy the Sidekick, 4-year-old male cat, domestic shorthair mix

My name is Loverboy and I am very sweet. It would be nice to go to a forever loving home. I will be your lap kitty. I am afraid of outside noises, but that’s because this is all so new to me. Come and check me out.

•  Habibiti the rabbit, female, Dutch purebred, age unknown

I’m a Dutch purebred rabbit looking for a fun home, I like running around in my cage, and outside of it in a safe and small area. I’m really easy to care for, so if you’re looking for a fun first pet, then I’m definitely for you.
