We know a whole lot more folks would have turned out for the Wichita On Wheels reunion three weeks ago if we hadn’t been in the middle of Kansas’ brief monsoon season.
We all get kidded about worrying that our collector cars might melt if they get rained on, but it’s hard to blame anyone for not wanting to bring an expensive paint job out for an event where hail is a possibility.
So, needless to say, we didn’t hand out too many Wichita On Wheels/Blacktop Nationals dash plaques. There are plenty left over and the BTN folks, who graciously picked up the tab on the plaques, agreed to let us have the extras.
If your car has been featured on the Wheels page, you’re welcome to have one of these commemorative dash plaques (for as long as the supply lasts). We’ll even throw in a complimentary "Wichita On Wheels Featured Car" window sticker, too.
