Shocker volleyball sweeps Drake in Valley opener

Wichita State’s volleyball team defeated Drake 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-17) on Friday at the Knapp Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

The Shockers (7-3, 1-0 Missouri Valley Conference) beat the Bulldogs 0-10, 0-1) for the 24th time in a row. The Shockers swept 21 of those matches. WSU plays at Creighton (9-1, 1-0) Saturday. The Bluejays opened conference play with a 3-2 win over Missouri State.

Emily Adney led WSU with 15 kills. Elizabeth Field added 13 with an attack percentage of .765. Setter Chelsey Feekin had 39 assists, five kills and seven digs.
