Police are looking for a red truck seen fleeing the scene of a drive-by shooting in north Wichita on Wednesday night.

The incident occurred at about 10:15 p.m. in the 700 block of West 23rd Street North, next to Arkansas, Lt. Doug Nolte said. Officers found 10 shell casings in the street, and a check of the neighborhood discovered two bullet holes in a house occupied by a 24-year-old woman and her three young daughters.

But there is no history of criminal activity at that address, Nolte said, and police do not think that house was the intended target.

No injuries were reported, and residents of the area could not offer any details on potential suspects.
