Three Wichita-area students honored in Kansas Book Festival Writing Contest

Three Wichita-area students will be recognized at the Kansas Book Festival for winning first place in the 4th Congressional District bracket of the 2012 Kansas Book Festival Writing Contest, the state announced Wednesday.

Christine Fuston, a Southeast High School student, won in the 9th-12th-grade bracket. Grace Donaldson, of Maize South Middle School, won in the 6th-8th-grade group. And Kristin J. Woodruff, of Maize Central Elementary, won in the 3rd-5th-grade category.

In addition to recognition at the book festival this Saturday, the students will get cash and a Payless ShoeSource gift card.
