Picnic to raise funds for people with HIV

A picnic in physician Donna Sweet’s yard on Tuesday evening will help people who have HIV.

This will be the 18th year for the Sweet A’fair Picnic, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. A $25 donation is suggested for the event, which will include Popeyes Chicken, entertainment, a live and silent auction, and a photo booth. People should park at 21st and Oliver, and a trolley will take them to Sweet’s house. No registration is required.

Proceeds will go to the Sweet Emergency Fund, which provides care for people who have HIV and are not able to pay for medication. Donations can also be sent to the fund at KU School of Medicine–Wichita MPA, 1010 N. Kansas, Wichita, KS, 67214.
