Yes, there is trouble in progressive-Democrat land. Why? Well, even the most dedicated Obama acolytes recognize his extreme leadership and policy limitations. Now they realize that the silly dancing, singing and lame comedy are not going to get the real work of our country accomplished. He has run his course. He should be sent back home to Chi-town.
Conservatives believe in the constitutional freedom of religion, whereas liberals and progressives act as if it’s freedom from religion.
Moderates claim to be “traditional” Republicans. Did Abraham Lincoln compromise with seceding states? Was freeing the slaves acting in moderation? Do you think Lincoln would have agreed to segregation to reach middle ground with Democrats? Lincoln wasn’t a moderate.
The tea party Congress has held us hostage for the past four years. The tea partiers were obstructionists for everything that could have boosted our stagnant economy. Why should we now believe they are the only ones who can “save” America? It would be rewarding the bad behavior that knocked us down and kept us there.
The MTV Video Music Awards showed profound proof that it does not take talent or ability to be on stage.
Why should teachers waste time teaching cursive? Welcome to 2012; learn to embrace technology. We need to prepare students for the workplace. Do you want an employee who can type or one who can write pretty? Maybe they can’t identify Harry Truman by sight, but they can find out everything about him in 30 seconds.
As we approach the anniversary of Sept. 11, let’s never forget the first responders who climbed the twin towers to rescue people they did not know, nor the airplane passengers who sacrificed their lives to save countless innocents in Washington, D.C.
