What’s new: disposable towels
Tub O’Towels is an amped-up version of cleaning wipes.
The disposable towels were originally designed for contractors and are thicker and bigger than typical wipes. They’re soaked in a cleaner that the manufacturer says will remove tough messes such as grease, tar and permanent marker.
The citrus-based formula contains lanolin, aloe vera and vitamin E to make it easier on hands.
The towels come individually wrapped or in a 90-towel canister or portable case. They’re available at stores including Hobby Lobby, Lowe’s and Cabela’s. You can find a nearby retailer at www.TubOTowels.com. The 90-towel canister has a suggested retail price of $15.

Halloween decor lands
We’ve seen Halloween candy arriving in grocery stores for a while now — and frankly we could do without the early temptation. But as the weather turns cooler, Halloween and other fall decor items seem a little more acceptable. Chateau de Cadeaux, 126 S. Seneca, is among the stores changing up the seasons.
Overseeding tip
A manual thatching rake is the ideal tool for overseeding areas of the lawn in September. The rake will remove thatch and wire grass while preparing thin areas of the lawn for overseeding. Grass seed must have good soil contact to germinate. Dethatching attachments for lawnmowers tend to seriously scalp the lawn.
