I think the Constitution needs to be amended to say that “the stupid do not have the right to bear arms.” I am infuriated that a family is grieving the loss of their daughter because idiots try to solve an altercation by shooting at one another.

The liberal news media are giving Michelle Obama raves on her speech, after saying Ann Romney was pandering. Were you surprised that is how the speeches were judged? Obama needs Michelle because she’s more popular than he is. Earth to liberals: She isn’t the one running for president.

While every speaker on night one of the DNC pulled at our heartstrings, not one spoke about the real current issues in the economy.

Obama says he can’t do anything about the economy because of the world economy. I’m sorry, but we don’t follow the world. We lead the world. Mitt Romney will have us out of this mess inside of two years.

Pat Lehman deserves a ticker-tape parade.

So Sen. Jean Schodorf is leaving the Republican Party. I have news for you, Senator: The voters just fired you. There’s no place for RINOs in the Republican Party.

Most would argue, and with just cause and reason, that she left the party long ago. She is not a moderate. She will fit right in with the Democrats.

Jean Schodorf for governor.

We agree with Schodorf. The Republican Party doesn’t represent moderate Republicans anymore. Nor does the GOP care for those of us without money. Therefore we just changed to the Democratic Party.

I am in favor of the death penalty if it would work properly. Put the guilty individual to death immediately. Once we start doing that, people will quit acting stupid and consider what they’re about to do.

The way the state’s death penalty is being run right now, it is failing. People need to be put to death immediately once convicted. Leave the rest up to God.

I have lived in other cities with wonderful festivals. People expected to pay for admission, food and superb entertainment. A $5 button is too expensive for the Wichita River Festival? I’m sure that most of those complaining about the costs spend $25 a night at McDonald’s or for pizza delivery.

You want to save Riverfest? Give it to the gay community. Now they know how to throw a party.
