The Wichita chapter of SCORE, a nonprofit that focuses on mentoring small business owners, will receive a $10,000 check from Sam’s Club Giving, the charitable arm of Sam’s Club, during a check presentation Thursday morning.
Funds for the donation were made possible by Sam’s Club employees who volunteered at businesses across Wichita. Sam’s Club agreed to award the donation if employees volunteered their time during “Step Up for Small Business” Week in May.
Nationwide, Sam’s Club associates volunteered 9,208 hours.
