The Kansas Food Bank will hold its annual open house Sept. 14 and will give visitors a chance to volunteer to sort and pack food.
The open house will be at the nonprofit organization’s headquarters, 1919 E. Douglas, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Volunteer activities for the day include two-hour blocks of time to pack backpacks and food boxes and sort food, starting at 7:30 a.m. There will also be periodic tours of the facility, starting at 8:30 a.m.
