Summer’s not ready to let go of Wichita just yet: today could make three straight triple-digit highs for the area, forecasters say.
Winds out of the west-southwest will help the temperature climb, even though they aren’t expected to be very strong. Skies will be mostly sunny during the day before clouds move in tonight.
A chance of showers arrives overnight and lingers for the next several days in the Wichita area, forecasters say. Overnight lows will be in low 70s, with light winds shifting slightly to the south-southeast.
Wednesday is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain, forecasters say, with a high in the mid-90s. Winds will be light out of the south-southwest and then shift to the north later in the day.
Chances for rain are expected to persist all the way into next weekend, forecasters say.
